Important: To receive credit, after completing an approved transfer course, request your transcript from the other college be sent to:Montreat College, Records & Registration Office, P.O. Box 1267, Montreat, NC 28757

Contingencies (the following conditions apply):

Receipt (by the Montreat registrar’s office) of an official transcript from the school where the course was taken. Courses approved through this process will not be posted to the student’s academic record until the official transcript is received. Transcripts should be sent to the Montreat College Registrar’s Office by mail or electronic transcript service.

An earned grade of “C” or above is required. (Note: A C- grade or below will not be accepted.)
The transfer course must meet degree requirements to be accepted and posted to the transcript.
Hours from transfer credit are applied as credit only and will not affect the GPA. (Quality points are not applied.)

Limitations:

A maximum of 90 hours can be transferred toward a bachelor’s degree at Montreat College. (Note: A maximum 66 of those hours can come from a two-year college)
A minimum of 32 credit hours, with at least 18 credits in the major, must be completed at Montreat College.
